Ye(Kanye West)がGAPとの契約を正式に終了する意向であることを今週の木曜日にGAP側に伝えたことが明らかになった。
ここ最近Yeは、自身のSNSにてadidasとGAPに対して不満を連投。adidas側には、自身の許可していないカラーのYEEZYの販売やYEEZYを模したスニーカーをリリースしているなどと激怒。adidasとの契約期間(2026年)が満了になり次第、独立する意思表示をしていた。
GAP側には、日本で家族と共に撮影予定であったキャンペーンの撮影を無断で取りやめた件、YZY GAPの店舗をオープンする契約だったのに実現していないこと、そしてYEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGAに似たアイテムの展開することなどを指摘していた。
adidasがYEEZYラインに対する正式な声明を発表。声明文では、YEとの今後のパートナーシップについては現在検討中であるとコメント。adidas YEEZYが終了してしまうのだろうか?(10/7更新)
BALENCIAGAが正式にYEとのパートナーシップを解消。これによりYEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGAも解消されることとなる。 “WHITE LIVES MATTER”のカットソーやGeorge Floydに対する発言。Tremaine EmoryやJustin Bieberとも仲違いしてしまうなど今後のYEはどうなってしまうのだろうか。。

adidasがYEとのパートナーシップを正式に解消することを発表。しかしながら、ほとんどのadidas Yeezyの特許は、adidasが所有し、Yeが特許を持っているのは、YEEZY SLIDEのみとなるようだ。(10/26更新)
adidasが決算説明会でYEEZYのデザインを来年以降も名前を変更して販売することを発表した。また、YeとYEEZY社に支払われるはずだったロイヤリティとマーケティングの支払いで、2023年に3億ユーロを節約できる見込みであることも述べた。(11/10更新)
adidasが再びYeezysの販売を開始することが明らかになった。 しかしながら収益の一部は慈善活動に寄付され、Yeには販売されたすべての商品の15％の手数料が与えられる。また、CEOのビョルン・グルデン氏は本日、同社が株式の「一部」を売却し、収益の一部を慈善団体に寄付すると発表した。
「私たちが時間をかけてやろうとしているのは、これらの商品の一部を販売し、その後、私たちを支援し、カニエの発言によって傷ついた団体に寄付することです」とグルデン氏は投資家に語った。 「燃やすことは解決策ではありません。」

Ye (Kanye West) informed GAP this past Thursday that he intends to officially end his contract with GAP.
Ye has recently taken to social media to complain about adidas and GAP, raging against adidas for selling YEEZY sneakers in colors he did not approve of and releasing sneakers that similar to YEEZY design.
He announced he will manage YEEZY line by him self as soon as his contract with adidas expires (2026).
He also claimed to GAP pointed out that the campaign was to be filmed in Japan with his family but was cancelled without notice, that the contract to open a YEEZY GAP store had not materialized, and that they were going to develop items similar to YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA.
adidas released a formal statement on the YEEZY line. The statement commented that future partnerships with YE is currently under the review. adidas YEEZY will be end? (updated 10/7)

Adidas has announced to continue releasing YEEZY design without YEEZY name. And the brand expects to save €300 million (approx. $301 million USD) in 2023 in royalty and marketing payments that would’ve been paid to Ye and the YEEZY company.(Updates November 10th)
It’s official, adidas will start selling Yeezys again. Part of proceeds will go to charity, and Ye will be given 15% commission on all goods sold. CEO Bjorn Gulden said today that the company will sell “parts” of the stock and donate part of proceeds to charity.
“What we are trying to do over time is to sell parts of these goods and then donate to organizations that help us and that also have been hurt by Kanye’s statements,” Gulden told investors. “Burning is not the solution.”
Millions of Yeezys with a retail value of 1.2 billion euros are sitting in storage after their sale was put on hold.
There is no release date yet. However Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” will be restocking once again.
